Important Notice dated 30.05.2025 – Voluntary Recall Safari Chef 30 HP

If you purchased a new model Safari Chef 30 HP this year (2025) - item number 6546C-10-EU / 6546C-20-EU - we kindly ask you to return it to us. Under very specific circumstances, the burner may become damaged. To prevent this, we are replacing the burner of your barbecue. When you report a return of the Safari Chef 30 HP, we will provide a return label so that the product can be returned to us free of charge for repair. You will receive this label after registering your return. 

Dear Customer,

We would like to inform you about a voluntary recall that affects the Safari Chef 30 HP models from 2025.

Although production was carried out in accordance with the applicable technical standards and requirements for safety and quality, we have found that the new Safari Chef 30 HP models may not function properly under certain conditions. There is a risk of an accident in which users of the product, as well as bystanders, could sustain serious injuries. We have therefore decided to act swiftly and recall all affected products so that we can replace the burner. After this, the product can be used safely again.

What does this mean for you?
We kindly ask you to return your Safari Chef 30 HP to us free of charge so that we can replace the burner. This will of course be done at no cost to you.

Here’s how to register your return:

1. You can register your return via ‘My Account’. Don’t have an account yet? You can easily create one on our website!
2. Follow the steps on the website to register your return. You will then be able to track the status of your return easily.
3. You will receive a return label from us, which allows you to send the product back free of charge.

As soon as we receive the correct replacement burners, we will carry out the repair. Your revised Safari Chef 30 HP will be returned to you as quickly as possible. This recall is our highest priority. Since we expect to receive the new burners by the beginning of July, we anticipate being able to return your BBQ between July 7 and 25.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience and sincerely apologize. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and are doing everything we can to assist you as quickly as possible.

 

How do you recognize the Safari Chef HP models? 

It concerns the models with product code 6546C-10-EU and 6546C-20-EU. These models operate directly on a gas cartridge and can be identified by a grey control knob without an indicator line.

Note: The LP models from 2025 have a grey control knob with an indicator line, and the HP models from before 2025 have a control knob that extends further outward. These models are not affected and have no issues!
