The Safari Chef 30 is a compact, versatile gas barbecue, perfect for travel and vacations. Weighing only 4.5 kg and equipped with four cooking surfaces—a pot stand, BBQ grid, flat grill plate, and a lid that can double up as a pot—this barbecue offers endless outdoor cooking options.
Both the BBQ grid and flat grill plate have a premium CADAC GreenGrill ceramic coating, providing a healthier way to cook. This coating is not only durable, but also eco-friendly and easy to clean. The integrated heat deflector, located on the underside of both the BBQ grid and flat grill plate, evenly distributes heat, ensuring perfectly cooked dishes – from grilled steaks to fried eggs.
The Safari Chef 30 features a removable fat pan that not only catches cooking residues, but also shields the burner from wind, enhancing flame stability in windy weather conditions. Cleaning is a breeze too—simply wipe down the fat pan with a soapy cloth for quick maintenance.

The Safari Chef is available in two versions:• The LP Version (Low Pressure) works with a refillable gas bottle or a CADAC Power Pak, offering flexibility for longer cooking sessions.• The HP Version (High Pressure) operates directly on an EN417 gas cartridge, ideal for those who need a quick and compact solution with a smaller fuel source.
In 2025, the Safari Chef 30 received an upgrade. The new Safari Chef 30 is even more compact for storage than the old version. The design of the control knob, among other things, has been adjusted so that the burner box folds over the unit when storing it. This makes the Safari Chef 30 (2025) even more compact and easier to store.
Additionally, the legs now feature cut-outs, allowing you to leave the Quick Release coupling attached when the barbecue is not in use and being stored. The Quick Release coupling fits perfectly through the holes. Therefore, the legs can also be folded with the Quick Release.
The burner has been improved for a more stable flame. The piezo ignition is now integrated into the burner, offering better protection and easier ignition.
CADAC | Dometic barbecues are equipped with unique Thermogrill grids; high-quality BBQ grids that guarantee optimal heat distribution. The round grill grids feature an integrated heat spreader at the bottom. This ensures even heat distribution across the entire surface, maximizing the grilling area.

Our camping barbecues have a removable, enameled grease collection tray, which can be easily lifted out for cleaning. Our grill grids, plates, and pans are simple to clean thanks to the ceramic non-stick coating. Both the grease tray and most cooking surfaces are dishwasher-safe but can also be cleaned with a sponge and soapy water!

Our BBQ grids, grill plates, and (paella) pans are equipped with the 'CADAC GreenGrill coating.' This ceramic coating is completely PFAS-free and therefore contains no harmful substances. GreenGrill guarantees healthier cooking!
The CADAC GreenGrill coating is harder and more durable than a regular non-stick coating. It withstands higher temperatures, distributes heat better, and retains it more efficiently, resulting in lower gas consumption while cooking & grilling.
