The Safari Chef 30 is a compact, versatile gas barbecue, perfect for travel and vacations. Weighing only 4.5 kg and equipped with four cooking surfaces—a pot stand, BBQ grid, flat grill plate, and a lid that can double up as a pot—this barbecue offers endless outdoor cooking options.

The Safari Chef is available in two versions:• The LP Version (Low Pressure) works with a refillable gas bottle or a CADAC Power Pak, offering flexibility for longer cooking sessions.• The HP Version (High Pressure) operates directly on an EN417 gas cartridge, ideal for those who need a quick and compact solution with a smaller fuel source.
In 2025, the Safari Chef 30 received an upgrade. The new Safari Chef 30 is even more compact for storage than the old version. The design of the control knob, among other things, has been adjusted so that the burner box folds over the unit when storing it. This makes the Safari Chef 30 (2025) even more compact and easier to store.
Additionally, the legs now feature cut-outs, allowing you to leave the Quick Release coupling attached when the barbecue is not in use and being stored. The Quick Release coupling fits perfectly through the holes. Therefore, the legs can also be folded with the Quick Release.
The burner has been improved for a more stable flame. The piezo ignition is now integrated into the burner, offering better protection and easier ignition.

Our cooking tops have a non-stick ceramic coating, making them easy to clean. Our portable barbecues & Citi Chefs have an enameled fat pan that can easily be removed and washed. Cleaning has never been this simple; just use a sponge and some water with detergent.

The burner box of CADAC Meridian barbecues have clean and smooth inside surfaces made from enamel coated steel or coated aluminium.The removable fat tray collects cooking residues. After grilling, you can easily remove the tray from the front of the barbecue for cleaning.

Most of our cooking surfaces are supplied with a ‘CADAC GreenGrill coating’. This ceramic coating is made from organic materials and doesn’t contain any toxic substances.
The CADAC GreenGrill is much more durable and harder than normal non-stick coating. It resists higher temperatures, divides the heat better and holds this heat, so less gas is used while grilling.
Cooking tops are very easy to clean with some water and detergent.
