The BBQ grids, (flat) grill plates and (paella) pans from CADAC | Dometic feature CeramiCoat: a ceramic coating developed for long-lasting use and easy maintenance. PREPARATION AND USE
Before using the cooking surface for the first time, we recommend seasoning it. This creates a thin protective layer on the cooking surface, helping food stick less during cooking.
- Rub the cooking surface with a little sunflower oil or peanut oil. These oils have a higher smoke point and are therefore more suitable for seasoning than, for example, olive oil.
- Place the cooking surface on the gas stove over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes
- Let it cool down and then wash it with a little dish soap.
CLEANING
After a great barbecue, it is time to clean up. With CeramiCoat cooking surfaces, this is a simple job. Always allow the barbecue to cool down first after use, as extreme temperature changes can warp the cooking surface. For stubborn stains or residue, you can leave the cooking surface to soak overnight in a CADAC | Dometic Soft Soak with water and dish soap. The next morning, you can clean the cooking surface with a soft brush or sponge. Avoid using scrub sponges or steel wool to prevent damage.
MAINTENANCE
Once you are done and the cooking surfaces are clean, we recommend lightly wiping the cooking surface with a few drops of oil on kitchen paper. This helps protect the surface from air and moisture. To keep the supplied storage bag clean, it is best to place the cooking surface in a plastic bag before storing it in the bag. The storage bag helps keep the ceramic coating in good condition.
