THE HISTORY OF THE BRAAI
The origins of the word “braai “ is Afrikaans for “ barbeque “ or “grill “, and the word and language originates from the early Dutch settlers who settled in Cape Town a few centuries ago. Now it is more than an expression of the way of cooking. It is a social custom.
